No late entries will be accepted.
All entries are open.
No exhibitor may handle their sheep once they are penned.
All care will be taken with the sheep but no responsibility incurred.
All exhibits to be penned by 9:00am on Saturday – late entrants will not be judged.
All exhibits will be weighed on entry.
All exhibits must be bred by exhibitor or originate on their property.
Any sheep considered by the stewards to be showing signs of
parasites or disease will be removed immediately – entry fee will be forfeited.
No exhibit may be removed before 4:00pm Saturday without the permission of the Chief Steward.
All exhibits must be unpenned by 6:00pm Saturday unless sale has been organised with the Chief Steward prior to the event.
Official presentation and Judges’ comments will be made at 12:00 noon.
All prizes and ribbons are not to be removed until the sheep are unpenned. Failure to comply with this regulation could result in forfeiture of all prizes and prize money.
Health Requirements
All sheep must be free from external parasites and the National Sheep Health Statement must be completed as assurance against Ovine Johnes Disease, Virulent Footrot and Ovine Brucellosis. Each animal must obtain a minimum of 3 Assurance Based Credit (ABC) points to be entered in this competition.
1. PEN OF THREE TRADE PRIME LAMBS
Each lamb weighing 38-44kg liveweight, any breed, any cross.
2. PEN OF THREE TRADE PRIME LAMBS
Each lamb weighing over 44kg liveweight, any breed, any cross.
3. EWE
Suitable for breeding Prime Lambs, with lamb at foot. Any breed, any cross.
CHAMPIONS
1. CHAMPION PEN OF TRADE LAMBS
(May be from either class 1 or 2)
2. MOST OUTSTANDING LAMB OF THE SHOW
(Selected from classes 1 and 2)
