CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- Entry allows one or a number of people to compete in the Camp Oven Cook Off as a team.
- Teams or individuals may compete in either or both of the two specified categories:
o Savoury meal
o Damper
- Choice of dish eg roast, curry, stew etc will be left up to the competitor. Please supply all your own ingredients, secret herbs/ spices, and any tools you require (including shovels).
- All dishes/categories must be cooked in camp-ovens or similar ovens supplied by the competitor.
- Firewood will be supplied by the Cook Off Committee.
- All competitors must be registered with the Steward or the Show Secretary by 6:00pm, Thursday 6 October. Competition will begin no earlier than 07:00am on Saturday 8 October. At 1:30pm competitors will be asked to present a plated cooked sample to the Cook Off officials for judging.
- Judging will be made by an independent judge/s. Criteria for judging will be at the discretion of the judge/s.
- Prizes will be awarded at the end of judging.
- There are a limited number of entries available.
- Registration will close 6:00pm Thursday, 6 October for planning purposes.
- Strictly no dogs allowed in the cooking arena.
- Due to licensing restrictions, alcohol consumption is not permitted (alcohol can be used for cooking purposes).
