SECTION A HORSES

All judging to commence at 9.00am sharp on Friday 12th October 2012 for fun Ring.
All other events start at 9am 13th October 2012
The following rules and regulations, as well as those at the front of the schedule, apply:
1 Horse competitors must pay gate admissions charges or be a financial member of the Leeton Show Society
2 Leeton Show Society (Inc) will not be responsible for any damages or accidents caused by any horse before, during and afer the show.
3 Every competitor or spectator who enters the arena must sign an indemnity and waiver form
4 All riders compete at their own risk
5 Stallions are not eligible for Hack events
6 All stallions and colts over 12 months of age must be shown in a bit
7 Stallions entering the arena must be under the control of an experienced handler or rider, 18 years or over.
8 8 All exhibitors exhibiting in breed classes must carry registration papers and produce them on request
9 Horses ages to be calculated from the 1st of August. Age of rider is actual age on the day of event
10 ‘Local’ shall be residents of the Leeton Shire or within a radius of 30km of the Leeton Post Office
11 A local horse must have been owned and located in the local area for at least 3 months before the show
12 A novice horse is a horse that has not won a first prize at an agricultural show.
12.1 An intermediate horse is a horse that has not placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd at a royal show
13 (8)Stables are available at $10 per night: Payment is in advance by credit card. No refunds 4 days from show date start.
15 Prize money. No prize money will be given for events except where indicated Champions $20 Reserve Champion $15 Supreme Champion $100 ribbons and trophies must be collected on the day of the show or be forfeited
16 Free Entry. Competitors must have signed waiver and have horse and rider/handler number. Failure to complete forms will lead to disqualification. Leeton Show Society uses standard indemnity forms and animal declaration forms. These forms can be downloaded from the ASC website or www.leetonshowsociety.org.au/forms and filled out prior to leaving for show.
17 Ribbons to 4th place
18 Champions $20, Supreme Hack and riders of the show $100, in rings 1 and 2
19 ALL RIDERS must wear approved safety helmets to the current Australian, standard, whilst competing and exercising. NO OTHER HEAD GEAR WILL BE PERMITTED
20 Any Pony, Galloway or Hack awarded a champion in ring 1 is ineligible to compete in ring 2 and vice versa
21 Show Hunters are ineligible to compete in open Hack events
22 Improper behavior: outside assistance to competitors by word of mouth, radio or any other methods in ring events will not be permitted. Any competitor and their exhibits found to be in breaching this ruling will be dismissed from the event and the showground and will be reported to the ASC.
23 Every Endeavor has been made to avoid the clashes of events. EVENTS WILL NOT BE HELD UP. It is the responsibility of the competitor to be on time and to have made a choice of event. Competitors may not enter a class after the judging has commenced.
24 All stallions & colts must be secured with a neck collar when tied up.
25 The committee may alter the program without notice if necessary
26 There needs to be a minimum of three (3) competitors for a class to be split or for a class to be added.
27 Drug testing of horses may be carried out by the ASC random drug testing squad.
28 The ringmaster decision is final not withstanding an appeals procedure is available on payment of $50 refundable deposit if successful. The appeal must be lodged within 30minutes of disputation.
